STRENGTHENING ROAD SAFETY AND INFRASTRUCTURE INTEGRITY
WEIGH-IN-MOTION SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING ROADS, BRIDGES, VIADUCTS
Weigh-in-motion systems, known as WIM, are used to measure the weight of vehicles in transit on a road or bridge without the need of stopping the vehicles.
The Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) technologies allow to weigh the vehicles in motion in the flow of traffic instead, without any interruption, while the data collected and sent in real-time allow to manage any transits in “overload” on the infrastructure.
